The online order process is fairly straightforward as expected although Lifestyle Home Appliances do send a lot of delivery reminder emails with information to consider about your purchased products and the delivery was on schedule so a positive start. We chose to have the inbuilt washer dryer and fridge freezer installed for convenience. Installation of the fridge was simple and smooth without any issues however, the washing machine was sadly not straightforward, requiring some levelling to the floor space by me before the installers would complete the job. It would have been helpful to have known in advance that they are only allowed to install washers on a flat surface and cannot place them on risers of any sort. It just so happened that the old washing machine was installed on risers by the previous home owners so the install didn’t get off to a great start. The installers were almost going to leave without installing the new washing machine prior to some persuasive discussion about removing the risers. Anyway once that was sorted, the installers were very efficient and completed the installation however, they then discovered a new challenge, the power lead and waste pipe wouldn’t reach the existing connections under the sink, even though the washing machine install was directly adjacent to the sink cupboard! Be aware, apparently Hoover appliances have extra short connections. Thankfully, they had a waste extension so connected that ok even if it was a 2m extension! I’ve had to order and subsequently fit a shorter extension. I also had to move the plug socket 3cm to get the plug to reach. Once all those issues were resolved, the washing machine was checked, tested and all ended well. The installers were very helpful and supportive but somewhat limited by the strict guidelines they must follow. Overall, an interesting experience but not as anticipated and I’m glad we now have a new effective washer dryer in situ. Lessons learned, do your homework before considering installation and if you don’t have any challenges to overcome, I suspect you’ll get a better and smoother experience than I did. I would still recommend Lifestyle Home Appliances.
